He has extensive experience in transactions involving technology licensing, including software licensing, integration and development agreements and confidentiality matters.

Fraz Wahlah has also served as the General Counsel for CureMD Corporation, the leading provider of innovative health information management and technology solutions in the  U.S.A, where he developed and managed an extensive international trademark and patent portfolio, and intellectual property litigation, conducted intellectual property due diligence and reviewed advertising material to verify compliance with legal requirements. Fraz Wahlah is licensed by the Punjab Bar Council and works in Lahore, Pakistan and New York, United States of America.

With years of international experience in the software, health care informatics and technology industries, Fraz Wahlah is a recognized expert & regarded as an authority in the fields of international, technology, corporate, intellectual property, and Internet laws. He has advised public and private companies, established businesses and start-ups, local and foreign companies, developers and users of technology, and both old and new economy businesses.

During his tenure with Fadvocat, he has helped world’s leading corporations with the creation, structuring, negotiation and implementation of technology transactions and counseled on a broad spectrum of mandates from complex mergers and acquisitions of technology and other companies to routine e-commerce and internet law matters and technology contracts. As a former General Counsel, Fraz Wahlah also helps technology businesses project manage legal services in other areas.

Fraz Wahlah was called to the Bar in 2007, and holds an LLB and a BBA in addition to rigorous training and experience as a technology analyst before entering the law – having designed advanced decision support and information management systems for some of the largest advertising and healthcare enterprises in the world.

Personal Background
Fraz Wahlah was born in Gojra, Pakistan, on October 03, 1981. Previously known as a human rights lawyer and activist, Fraz Wahlah is the central leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). His family has long been involved in local as well as national politics.

Fraz’s father, Mr. M.S. Wahlah Advocate, a renowned lawyer and politician, was the president of PPP during the martial law of General Zia ul Haq. He was a strong opponent of the military rule and therefore was imprisoned several times. Fraz himself was the youngest prisoner of democracy as he was arrested at the age of 6 for waving PPP flag during a curfew imposed by the military dictator after his father's arrest.

Fraz obtained his degree in business before going on to pursue a degree in law at the University of
the Punjab where he was known as the diamond of the law school. He has been the Chief Legal Officer for CureMD Corporation in the United States, Associate of celebrated former law minister, justice, senator and lawyer Dr. Khalid Ranjha and is the CEO of Fadvocat, an international technology law firm.

Political Career
Fraz Wahlah became a worker of the PPP in his early youth, as he approved the dogma of the late president and premier of Pakistan Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. He has been involved with active local politics during university days and gained fame for his speeches against the military rule of Pervaiz Musharraf.

He served as the president of Peoples Student Federation (PSF) and Pakistan Peoples Party Human Rights at various levels before getting appointed as the provincial president of PPP youth Punjab by the then Chairperson Benazir Bhutto in 2006.

In August 2007, Fraz was asked to run for Punjab Assembly on party's ticket in 2008 national elections, making him the youngest candidate nominated for the party ticket. However, he did not choose to contest because of his active participation in the movement for the restoration of judiciary, and later the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.

After Benazir Bhutto's Assassination

Fraz Wahlah sidelined himself from the mainstream politics after Benazir Bhutto's assassination in protest against the current leadership of the party for failing to launch a probe into the killing of the former Prime Minister.

Fraz Wahlah also has the honor of representing Pakistan in the 2010 Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
